When safety is compromised, you don't have time to type messages, navigate contact lists, or explain your location. A single tap on the large red RAKSHA SOS button initiates a complete safety broadcast.

Your phone's GPS is queried to capture your location when you trigger an alert. Accuracy depends on your device and surroundings.

TRUST & SECURITY

Identity-Verified Network

We believe a safety app is only as safe as the people using it. Unlike apps that allow anonymous sign-ups, RAKSHA Ireland requires an identity check before you can access community alerts. This reduces misuse but cannot eliminate all risk.

Government Photo ID Required
Every user must submit a photograph of an official document (passport, driver's licence, or age card) to register.
Manual Administrative Verification
No algorithmic approximations. A live RAKSHA team member manually checks each document to approve access.

Live Acceptance Updates

During stress, waiting in silence is hard. If a nearby member accepts your alert, RAKSHA shows you their update — though a community response is never guaranteed, and you should always contact 112/999 when your safety is at risk.

Real-Time Confirmation
If a nearby member accepts and shares that they can help, your screen updates with their profile card and estimated arrival time.
Active Safety Guidance
Prompts encourage you to move to well-lit areas, lock your doors, and call 112/999 if the situation escalates.

Alert History Logs

For accountability, each alert, response detail and resolution is recorded in your account history in line with our privacy policy and retention periods.

Full Resolution Logging
See details of previous alerts you triggered, who accepted them, arrival time, and how each was resolved.

Records are encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access and defined retention periods.

The controls that keep you in charge

Beyond the SOS button, these are the everyday controls and safeguards built into RAKSHA.

Discreet activation

A single large button triggers an alert without menus or typing, so you can act quickly and with minimal attention.

Trusted contacts

Add people you trust so you can share an alert and your location with them, alongside the community network.

Location only when you need it

Your location is captured only when you trigger an SOS and shared with approved members for that alert. RAKSHA does not track or share your location at any other time.

Cancel an alert anytime

Change your mind or tapped by mistake? Cancel instantly. Cancelled alerts are logged as false alarms and no one is asked to attend.

False-alarm handling

Accidental alerts are expected. They are flagged clearly, and repeated false alarms may be reviewed to keep the network reliable.

Accessibility in mind

Large touch targets, high-contrast SOS colours and simple flows, with more accessibility improvements planned during beta.
